LeBrun: Habs and Caps In Discussion

According to NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun, Montreal Canadiens’ GM Kent Hughes has been talking to several teams around the NHL and while no deal is imminent, discussions are heating up.

It is no secret that the Canadiens have a surplus of forwards in their lineup and LeBrun stated that Kent Hughes has been speaking to the Capitals. He advanced the names of Evgenii Dadonov, Mike Hoffman and Jonathan Drouin being rumoured to Washington. The Insider mentioned that those players have also been offered to other teams around the NHL.

As of today, they are tied for sixth in their division but have played more games than everyone but the New York Rangers, both with 12 games played.
