Trask: Updated First Round Rankings

By Bob Trask – Late season games and some of the public answers to questions asked at the draft combine have led me to update my first round draft rankings. For most Shane Wright will still be number one but his response to some questions seemed to like canned answers while Slafkovsky’s seemed more genuine to me. It’s simply my perception and I don’t have the benefit of sitting in on the full interview, so take it with a grain of salt.

The one player who shot up in the rankings for me was Jonathan Lekkermaki. I know recency bias is dangerous but it is hard to ovelook 15 points in 6 games at the u18s. And one player who has dropped in Matthew Savoie. He seems to have dropped off the radar with respect to press coverage.
