We all know that many teams are wanting Ben Chiarot for a playoffs’ run this year. Big, mobile, physical, moves the puck well and not a bad skater, Chiarot can log major minutes in the playoffs as we’ve seen last year. But NHL Insider Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff, blew everyone away today when he stated that the guy in highest demand on the Montreal Canadiens is… Artturi Lehkonen.
According to Seravalli, Lehkonen is this year’s version of Blake Coleman. He says that the scouting report on the Canadiens’ winger is that he does everything exceptionally well… except finish.
“I know at least three teams that are begging the Montreal Canadiens to get Artturi Lehkonen.”
The New Jersey Devils received a first round pick and Nolan Foote, a first round pick himself, from the Tampa Bay Lightning for Coleman.
If he truly gets that kind of offer, it will be very hard for Kent Hughes to pass on trading Lehkonen, no matter how much they like him.
