After a couple of years showing great promise in the Swedish League, the offensive defenseman will finally be making his NHL debuts tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 6-foot and 185 lbs defenseman suffered an undisclosed injury during a pre-season game. He has an “out” to his contract and if the Canadiens cut him, he could rejoin Frölunda HC in the SEL instead of going to Laval.
Tonight’s game will be Brendan Gallagher’s 600th career game in the NHL. The heart and soul of the Canadiens, this Energizer Bunny has three goals and five assists in 17 games so far this season.
