Habs Showing Interest in Vitali Kravtsov

According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Face Off, keep an eye on the Montreal Canadiens when it comes to a possible destination for New York Rangers’ Vitali Kravtsov. The Rangers’ No. 9 overall pick from the 2018 NHL Draft, had NHL teams buzzing after his first game back in the KHL on loan with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

The Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators were apparently the two teams who expressed the most interest in Kravtsov, who refused his assignment to AHL Hartford and forced his way back to Russia. The Rangers gave Kravtsov’s agent, Dan Milstein, permission to help seek a trade.

Kravtsov, 21, collected two goals and one assist in his first game back in the KHL, including this beauty:

The 6-foot 3-inches winger is a very good skater and an offensive dynamo with tremendous skill with the puck. He can be a game-breaking, offensive force when he is on the ice but his play without the puck needs work.
